Membership
FCPI members are the driving force of FCPI. As ambassadors of FCPI in their respective communities, they are expected to adhere to the highest ethical standards of breeding and caring for their cats and kittens, and to adhere to policies, rules and regulations promulgated by the FCPI Board and Management. There are four types of membership to FCPI:
- Associate members – this is open to individuals interested in the objectives of the organization but may or may not take an active role in organization functions. Applications for associate membership are voted on by the Management Committee. Most applicants start as associate members.
- Junior members – this is open to individuals below 18 years of age who meet any of the requirements for membership eligibility. Junior members have the same rights and privileges of associate members.
- Regular members – this type of membership is open by invitation of the Board of Trustees based on their record of service and involvement in the organization’s activities. A two thirds majority vote at a meeting of the Board of Trustees and regular members is required for admission. Regular members must be able to attend meetings and participate in the organization’s activities.
- Honorary members – this designation is granted on an exceptional basis to individuals for their invaluable contribution and service to the organization by a majority vote of the trustees. Honorary membership is lifetime unless revoked by the trustees.

If your cat has an authentic, certified pedigree from another international organization, they are eligible to be registered with FCPI.
In order for us to register your future kittens and keep its pedigree, its parents must be registered with FCPI as well.
Cats that are mixed breed may be recorded as household pets (HHP), unless both breeds are recognized as allowed outcrosses under WCF or WCC rules. If such is the case, they may enter the full pedigree register, foundation cat or provisional list, depending on the requirements they meet. Domestic cats (puspins) may also be recorded as HHP.
