CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM FOR REGISTERED CATTERY NAMES
This page contains the cattery names registered with the World Cat Federation through the Feline Council of the Philippines, Inc. In compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, personal information are disclosed only with express permission from the cattery owners. This list is organized alphabetically by cities, then alphabetically by cattery name if there are multiple catteries registered in that city.
CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM FOR REGISTERED CATTERY NAMES
In May 2020, FCPI established a classification system for registered cattery names for the purpose of:
- providing pertinent information on the guarantees or limits of owning a WCF cattery name,
- establishing a convenient way for the buying public to determine the registration status of the cats owned and exhibited by the cattery owner, and
- incentivizing WCF cattery name owners to aspire for the highest standards of cattery management, aligned with animal welfare legislation.
FCPI classifies registered cattery names in three levels upon their attainment of clearly defined and progressively stringent milestones:
- Level 1: Registered Cattery – A cattery shall be classified as Level 1 if the cattery name has been registered with the World Cat Federation, and is in good standing with the FCPI.
- Level 2: Verified Cattery – A cattery shall be classified as Level 2 if the owner has registered at least one litter with FCPI under its registered cattery name.
- Level 3: Recognized Cattery – A cattery shall be classified as Level 3 after having registered at least 10 cats / kittens with FCPI, AND exhibited at least two cats or kittens of their own breeding at a WCF sanctioned show. Only entries that have not been withdrawn, disqualified, or otherwise withheld of any awards may be counted as qualifying exhibits.
BREEDING PROGRAM TYPES
The FCPI further assigns breeding program types A, B, or C to Level 2 and 3 catteries to help prospective cat owners determine the registration status of the cattery owner’s cats:
- Type A – catteries that exclusively breed and/or exhibit full pedigreed cats.
- Type B – catteries that breed and/or exhibit both full pedigreed cats and provisionally-listed / experimental cats.
- Type C – catteries that only breed and/or exhibit provisionally-listed / experimental cats.
SUPERIOR DESIGNATION (S)
Level 2 and 3 catteries may attain an additional (S) designation upon receiving passing marks from a voluntary cattery inspection program conducted by a licensed veterinarian.
